Updates!

Hey all, Gage had his surgery Saturday. He is doing good. They ended up not having to totally repair it. His ACL was only 40% torn. It will heal. They cleaned it up and wrapped him up. He starts back to physical therapy tomorrow and they will get his knee ready to play baseball. He was pretty excited about that. We are so grateful for the priesthood blessings he received.
My dad is going great! He was told Thurs the 19Th that he could return to work. He wants to retire.
Thank you all for you thought fullness and prayers on behalf of both Gage and my dad.

Great start to a new year! NOT!!!

Wow what a year this has been so far. I was put back in the hospital the first part of January. I was pretty sick. Feeling much better now. January 31st started out just like any other Sat. Got up and got ready for Gage and Brinnlee's basketball games. Gage played at 8:30am. He won his game. Brinnlee played at 11:30am. During the 4th quarter my dad got up and walked outside. A few mins later he was waving for my mom to come here. She told me he had been having chest pains all morning. She headed outside and a few min later she returned. He went and laid down in the car and told her to go finish watching the game since it was almost over. When the game was over my mom left and when she got to the car my dad was doubled over. She took him right to the hospital. They did an EKG it was fine. They did some other test and while waiting his chest started hurt again. So the Dr. ordered another EKG. It came back that he was having a heart attack. The ambulance was called and he was transported to Provo. That was the longest ride of my life. We got there before the ambulance. He was taken to the Cath lab and a stent was put in the right side of his heart. He is doing great thank goodness.
Feb. 3rd Gage had his first 8th grade game. They were losing. But that never stopped him or made him slow down. In the 3rd quarter he went up for a shot and when he came down his knee twisted and he went down. He tore his ACL. I took him up to an orthopedic Dr and he said he would be out for 6 months after surgery. He is scheduled for surgery next week. He is very angry at the world right now and there isn't anything anyone can say to him to change it.
I hope that the rest of the year goes a A LOT better.

End of year thoughts

Well another year has come and it almost gone. I can't believe how fast the year went. Thinking back this year has had its up and downs. I can't believe that it has almost been a year since we went to Disneyland. What fun that was to go on vacation with my parents, brothers and sisters and all there families. I found a great friend from high school almost a year ago. I don't know what I would do without our daily chats. I can't even imagine what life was like without her.
This year has also been pretty crappy. I am hoping next year will be great. I am healing great. So far I feel great!! I will keep my fingers crossed that it worked.
I look forward to all the family get togethers and all the new friends that I will get to meet this year.
Happy New Year to all!

Out and about

Well I had my surgery Dec 1st. I am doing good. Still a little sore but doing well. Everyday gets a little better.
Branden has been working hard at getting there sporting clay course up and going. Just a few more bugs and it will be open for business.
Gage is driving me crazy with rock band and guitar hero. I can't wait for basketball to start. That will give him something else to do.
Brinnlee has started basketball. Well practices anyway. She was excited to have girls on her team she knew and I was excited that I knew the coach. We actually went to school together.
I am kinda excited for Christmas to get here. I love the looks on my kids faces as they open there gifts.

December really hasn't started out the best for our family. I had surgery the 1st, my mom had surgery the 2nd, my grandmother was put in the hospital the 4th with pnemonia. She is out of the hospital but not doing good. And the 5th my dad had surgery. So it has been a really crazy 2 weeks!
I look forward to the New Year and hope it brings a better out come for us all!

Surgery

Well Dec.1st is the day of the surgery. We decide it would be better to just do it and get the pain out of the way. I am a little nervous but I guess I should be. It is a major surgery.
If anyone has a word of advice I would love to hear it!.

Well here we are facing a life changing surgery and wondering what to do. In one way I have no problem with it cause being pain free would be great. On the other hand just knowing I could never carry another child rips your heart out. I know I know we have been done with having kids for a while. But this makes the whole thing final. I have til Tuesday to decide what I want to do. I go back to the dr then. I guess that gives me a few days to decide.
Other then that we are all doing good. Our bird farm is up and running. I guess that is a good thing. We have stayed busy on the weekends so that is good.
Brinnlee is loving the new school and looks forward to going to school. Now only if I could get her to read every night.
Gage is busy working on his history fair project. It is nice to see him actually staying caught up and being responsible towards school. He is excited about basketball and it is coming up soon.
Branden decided yesterday to get the flu. YUCK! Nothing worse then having your husband sick. They act like they are dieing. But I guess if we love them we have to put up with them.

Going Crazy!!!

I am going to pull my hair out! I am so sick of Rock Band! To make things worse Rheo gave Gage Guitar Hero World Tour for his birthday. Now I have drums, a guitar, and a mic. To drive me crazy!
I am a little worried my pain is back and shouldn't be. I talked to a nurse Friday and they are a little worried that something else is wrong too. I think for Christmas I might be getting a hysterectomy. I am a little scared. I have to call my Dr. 2mro and see what he want me to do.
Other then that all is good. Our bird farm is open for buisness and we have made a little money. It is nice to go out there on the weekends and just relax. NO worries, NO tv, NO phone it's great!
