Wow what a year this has been so far. I was put back in the hospital the first part of January. I was pretty sick. Feeling much better now. January 31st started out just like any other Sat. Got up and got ready for Gage and Brinnlee's basketball games. Gage played at 8:30am. He won his game. Brinnlee played at 11:30am. During the 4th quarter my dad got up and walked outside. A few mins later he was waving for my mom to come here. She told me he had been having chest pains all morning. She headed outside and a few min later she returned. He went and laid down in the car and told her to go finish watching the game since it was almost over. When the game was over my mom left and when she got to the car my dad was doubled over. She took him right to the hospital. They did an EKG it was fine. They did some other test and while waiting his chest started hurt again. So the Dr. ordered another EKG. It came back that he was having a heart attack. The ambulance was called and he was transported to Provo. That was the longest ride of my life. We got there before the ambulance. He was taken to the Cath lab and a stent was put in the right side of his heart. He is doing great thank goodness.
Feb. 3rd Gage had his first 8th grade game. They were losing. But that never stopped him or made him slow down. In the 3rd quarter he went up for a shot and when he came down his knee twisted and he went down. He tore his ACL. I took him up to an orthopedic Dr and he said he would be out for 6 months after surgery. He is scheduled for surgery next week. He is very angry at the world right now and there isn't anything anyone can say to him to change it.
I hope that the rest of the year goes a A LOT better.

How did Gage's surgery go? Hope all went well. Hope your dad is doing better, too! Sorry you've had such a rough start to the year. Maybe it's one of those, "comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb" scenarios...
